the story

Two years in the making

The Sharpie Mini Caddy, conceived by Dave in 2021, was an idea that many said wouldn't work. Yet, against all odds, it became Silver Fox's best-selling product.

Inspired by the Fisher Space Pen, with its compact closed form that transforms into a full-sized pen when open, Dave envisioned a similar mechanism for a marker pen, incorporating vintage design language and the playful functionality of magnets.

In the early days of Silver Fox, bringing this vision to life was a significant challenge. Finding a machinist capable of executing the design to our exacting standards proved difficult. After working with three different machinists and creating numerous prototypes, the Sharpie Mini Caddy finally launched in 2023, two years after the initial idea was born.

Great brass EDCmini pen

Purchased the brass version after seeing a positive review on YouTube and I wasn't disappointed. Arrived sooner than expected and the quality is insane. I also didn't realise how many refills would come with it. The carry size is tiny and I've actually been able to carry it on my wallet with ease. The magnet is also very strong making the writing length really convenient. The thing I've been most impressed with is the nib itself. I thought size would mean a compromise on the writing experience but it's so smooth and a pleasure to use

Love them both

I ordered both titanium and brass versions and I'm very impressed. They were delivered before expected, and the first impression on opening the package was that I had bought something a bit different of a quality that's sadly uncommon nowadays. The simple yet unique packaging reflects the same concept. The brass pen has a lovely weighty feel to it, and the colour of the titanium version is fantastic. Which is better is purely a personal thing, I still can't decide which I prefer. The magnetic lid attachment is a nice touch which has impressed everyone I've shown. Really lovely pens.
