Pocketable axe

product description

Whether you're looking for a survivalist axe to save your life ...or just want to stand out slicing a cave man steak at the grill in summer...  this pocketable mini pocket axe is fit for the job. This every day mini axe will come razor sharp for your cutting, carving, bushcraft and even beard trimming needs.

The Jack Axe is made using quality high Carbon BS 4659 Tool steel designed to be able to hold a sharp edge while being able to take a beating. The finger hole behind the blade gives a unique close and controlled cut for whittling, sharpening and accurate cutting projects. At 5mm thick, its thicker than your normal blade, resulting a effective small branch splitter using the battening method.

It comes with a hand stitched, quality leather sheath with belt loop.

the story

The product of an Axe Collector

The Jack Axe, originally conceived as the "Pocket Axe," was our very first project, born in 2018. The idea sparked from Dave's passion for collecting vintage axes and everyday carry tools. He envisioned a tool that combined the best of both worlds: a functional axe small enough to fit in your pocket.

Dave collaborated with a team using a CNC water jet to cut blank shapes from tool steel. From there, he embarked on a journey of learning the intricacies of grinding, forging, and heat treating.

The Pocket Axe quickly gained popularity, so much so that it became the catalyst for the creation of Silver Fox Tools.

Some years later, Dave renamed his flagship product the Jack Axe, after his first son - Jack.

True Heritage tool

Usual workmanlike approach to heritage kit from Silver Fox. The shape looks a little unorthodox, but once you have it in your hand it fits really well and is very comfortable to use. Despite what you might think, it is absolutely not a toy it is viciously sharp, but you can still control it very well (arguably better than a knife). 5mm steel is pretty substantial and it already
