the story

From Flea Market Find to Titanium Treasure

Our founder, Dave, was visiting family in southern England when a trip to a local car boot sale (flea market) yielded an unexpected treasure. Tucked away in the bottom of a rusty old toolbox, he discovered a bent and battered vintage mini wrench.

Inspired by the ingenuity of the original mini pocket spanner design, Dave set out to reimagine it for modern use. He combined the classic design with premium titanium and vintage knurled brass, creating a tool that's both beautiful and functional.

The Atom Wrench became Silver Fox's first Kickstarter project. Thanks to the incredible support of our backers, the campaign far surpassed its funding goals, and the wrench went into mainstream production in 2023.

Bought x2 of the Atom Wrenches for Christmas (x1 for me and x1 for a colleague - both engineers). Yeah, it's a little pricey for a little wrench - but really - it's rock solid, looks and feels great and absolutely operational and something I wouldn't be surprised at still seeing in my pocket in 30 years time.
I've already used it this week for tightening a bolt (my leatherman on the nut), for holding wires still whilst I soldered them and for hammering a pin into a wall (charming I know). I compared the measuring function to a set of calipers and it performed well.

Still 5 stars, but in the event that Silver Fox Tools reads these: It would be great to have the option to have initials on it next to the brass - especially if I get the rest of the team one each.

Bought one of these for a colleague for Christmas and had to have a look before gifting it after seeing the quality of the atomic wrench. The sharpie caddie absolutely lived up to expectations, another solid, perfectly made little piece of kit. Getting the initials on it was a great touch to make it feel a more person gift, and I expect to get everyone on the team one at some point which will come in handy.
